The Liber Tea for Young Ladies & Their Mothers
How often? Luncheons are held once a month and are potluck.
Luncheon themes: We try to let the book read, guide the theme for the luncheon. When we do the Royals, the luncheons take on an international flair.
Dress: We request that young ladies and their mothers wear dresses or skirts for the luncheons. While studying the Prairie Princesses, young ladies and their mother are free to wear vintage or pioneer clothing, if they choose.
Time: We begin promptly at 12:30 and meet until 2:30.
Luncheon Activities:
* We gather in the living room and begin with prayer. This is followed by the Women of Virtue Vignette, a brief introduction to a woman from history that exhibited some quality worth emulation.
* Frugal Luxuries are on display, and ladies will have a moment to introduce the workmanship of their hands.
* Followed by a Grace moment, a short spotlight, a few points on hospitality, etiquette, comeliness, or perhaps a point of refinement brought out by the story; about 5 minutes.
* We then move to the dining area for our Liber Tea, discuss the books, and enjoy each other's company.
* When lunch is over, we participate in a Heart Warming Bee. Usually, we will have about an hour to work on quilts, humanitarian projects, or crafts.
